How payments work in EliteTeQ
- 1
Ring up the sale
Scan or pick the items and the till shows the total in HKD, with any discount already applied.
- 2
Record how the customer paid
Choose Octopus, card or cash, or split the bill across several. Each amount is recorded against this sale with the time and the cashier.
- 3
Close the sale
Stock drops, the receipt prints and the sale shows in your reports straight away. If the internet is down, the till keeps going and syncs when it returns.
- 4
Check the day by method
At closing, the report shows totals for each payment method and each cashier, so you count the cash drawer against cash sales only and check the rest against your statements.

Questions owners ask us
Not answered here? A real person replies on WhatsApp.
Can a customer split one bill across two payment methods?
Yes. Add as many payments as the customer wants, in any mix of methods. The till shows the balance until the sale is fully paid, and the receipt lists each payment.
Does EliteTeQ hold or move my money?
No. Payments go to you through your own bank, wallet or card provider. EliteTeQ records each payment against its sale so your records match what you received.
How do I check the day’s payments at closing?
Run the closing report. It shows totals for each payment method and each cashier, and the cash you should have in the drawer, so you only count cash against cash sales.
Does the POS keep selling when the internet is down?
Yes. Sales and payments are recorded on the device while the connection is down and sync automatically when it comes back.
Which payment methods can EliteTeQ record in Hong Kong?
Octopus, FPS, PayMe, AlipayHK, cards and cash, plus cash. Each is recorded against the sale it paid for, and you can add others your customers use.
