EliteTeQ Inbox in Tanzania
Businesses in Tanzania pay the same US-dollar prices. Card, charged in Kenyan shillings at the day’s rate. Replies inside the 24-hour window after a customer writes are free. Meta charges for template messages you start (marketing, authentication and most utility templates), priced by the customer’s country, so a template to a Tanzanian number is billed at Meta’s Tanzania rate. Chats that start from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad are free for 72 hours. Meta bills these charges to your own Meta account; they are not part of the EliteTeQ price.
In Tanzania, customers in Dar es Salaam and Arusha ask about stock and prices on WhatsApp first. EliteTeQ Inbox lets several staff answer from one business number.
Customers in Tanzania mostly write in Swahili. Your team replies in Swahili, and template messages can be created in Swahili or English.
Office hours are set day by day for each number. A common setup in Dar es Salaam: weekdays open, Saturday mornings open, Sunday closed. Anyone who writes while you are closed gets your away message, at most once every 12 hours, and the chat waits at the top of the list for the morning.
Selling on WhatsApp in Tanzania
Dar es Salaam concentrates wholesale and retail while Arusha runs on tourism seasons and the lake region on fishing and mining. Electronic fiscal receipting applies nationally and mobile money is the default tender.
Mwanza Region · a Lake Victoria port and regional commercial centre
Lake transport, fishing and regional mining shape commerce, and cross-lake trade toward Uganda and Kenya adds a cross-border layer. The binding constraint is weight-based perishable handling for fish and produce, alongside fiscal receipting. Mwanza is the commercial hub of the lake region, with trade shaped by fishing, gold mining in the surrounding area and lake transport toward Uganda and Kenya. The same prices apply to a team in Mwanza as anywhere else.
Mbeya Region · the main commercial centre of Tanzania's southern highlands
Agricultural trade and traffic on the corridor toward Zambia and Malawi keep wholesale busy. Mbeya sits on the main road and rail corridor toward Zambia and Malawi, so trucking and cross-border trade feed its markets alongside a strong agricultural trade. The same prices apply to a team in Mbeya as anywhere else.
Dar es Salaam Region · Tanzania's commercial capital and principal port
Kariakoo runs dense wholesale trade while the peninsula carries higher-basket retail and restaurants, and traffic between them is heavy enough to make transfers impractical. Dar es Salaam concentrates most of Tanzania's formal trade, from the dense wholesale activity around Kariakoo to the higher-basket retail and restaurant corridors along the peninsula. The same prices apply to a team in Dar es Salaam as anywhere else.

Questions businesses ask us
Not answered here? A person from our team replies on WhatsApp.
Yes, 7 days with every Business feature open. You choose a plan in Settings → Billing when you’re ready.
How do we pay?
Card, charged in Kenyan shillings at the day’s rate, through Paystack. You get a receipt from EliteTeQ Softwares Limited for every payment.
What happens if we pay late?
Your chats and contacts are kept safe. Choose a plan and pay in Settings → Billing to carry on where you left off.
Are WhatsApp’s message charges included?
No. Meta charges for template messages you start, at its rate for the customer’s country, and bills your own Meta account. Replies within 24 hours of a customer’s message are free.
Can we add more people or numbers?
Yes. Each extra person is $8 a month on Starter or Growth (Business already has unlimited people), and each extra WhatsApp number is $10 a month on any plan. Yearly, each costs 10 months.
How many WhatsApp numbers can one business have?
Up to 20. That is Meta’s limit per business, not ours: a new business can register 2 WhatsApp numbers, and Meta raises it to 20 once the business is verified with Meta. Growth includes 2 numbers and Business 3; each extra number is $10 a month. Facebook and Instagram inboxes don’t count as numbers.
Do you set it up for us?
You can do it yourself, free. Or pick a one-off setup when you first pay: Basic $50 (we connect WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram and add your team), Standard $100 (plus contacts, pipeline, templates and automatic replies) or Premium $150 (plus a 1-hour team training and a check-in two weeks later).
How much does a WhatsApp CRM cost in Tanzania?
EliteTeQ Inbox costs the same in Tanzania as everywhere: Starter is $29 a month (1 WhatsApp number, 3 people), Growth $59 (2 numbers, 6 people) and Business $99 (3 numbers, unlimited people), in US dollars. Paying yearly costs 10 months. Extra people are $8 a month and extra numbers $10. Card, charged in Kenyan shillings at the day’s rate. Meta’s own charges for template messages to Tanzanian numbers are separate and billed to your Meta account.
Why is EliteTeQ Inbox priced in US dollars in Tanzania?
The plans are priced in US dollars in every country. Payment is by card on Paystack’s secure page and is charged in Kenyan shillings at the day’s rate, because EliteTeQ is based in Nairobi. Your bank may show a currency conversion.
