EliteTeQ Inbox in Benin
Businesses in Benin pay the same US-dollar prices. Card, charged in Kenyan shillings at the day’s rate. Replies inside the 24-hour window after a customer writes are free. Meta charges for template messages you start (marketing, authentication and most utility templates), priced by the customer’s country, so a template to a Beninese number is billed at Meta’s Benin rate. Chats that start from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad are free for 72 hours. Meta bills these charges to your own Meta account; they are not part of the EliteTeQ price.
In Benin, many traders in Cotonou take orders by WhatsApp, including from customers across the border. EliteTeQ Inbox keeps those orders and questions in one shared list.
Customers in Benin mostly write in French. Your team replies in French, and template messages for customers who haven’t written in 24 hours can be created in French too.
Office hours are set day by day for each number. A common setup in Cotonou: weekdays open, Saturday mornings open, Sunday closed. Anyone who writes while you are closed gets your away message, at most once every 12 hours, and the chat waits at the top of the list for the morning.
Selling on WhatsApp in Benin
Cotonou's port drives a large re-export trade toward Nigeria and the interior, giving wholesale a strongly cross-border character. Dantokpa operates at a scale unlike the formal retail sector.
Atlantique Department · a fast-growing urban area adjoining Cotonou
A young, largely student and commuter population drives frequent small purchases in food, convenience and services rather than wholesale trade. Term time swings demand sharply. Abomey-Calavi has expanded rapidly as a residential and university area next to Cotonou, which gives it a younger customer base and strong demand for food, convenience retail and services rather than wholesale trade. The same prices apply to a team in Abomey-Calavi as anywhere else.
Zou Department · a commercial crossroads in central Benin near Abomey
A busy market on the main north–south road draws traders and wholesale buyers. Bohicon sits on Benin's main north–south road and hosts one of the region's busiest markets, making it a stopping point for traders and goods. Mobile money (MTN MoMo, Moov Money) and cash are both common, and taxes are administered by the Direction Générale des Impôts. The same prices apply to a team in Bohicon as anywhere else.
Littoral Department · Benin's economic capital and main port
Dantokpa operates at a scale and pace entirely unlike the city's formal retail and restaurant districts, and much of what passes through is bound for Nigeria. The binding constraint is cross-border pricing with more than one currency in play, recorded properly rather than negotiated and forgotten. Cotonou is Benin's commercial centre and port, and a substantial share of its trade is re-export toward Nigeria and the interior, which gives wholesale activity a cross-border character and makes multi-currency awareness genuinely useful. The same prices apply to a team in Cotonou as anywhere else.

Questions businesses ask us
Not answered here? A person from our team replies on WhatsApp.
Yes, 7 days with every Business feature open. You choose a plan in Settings → Billing when you’re ready.
How do we pay?
Card, charged in Kenyan shillings at the day’s rate, through Paystack. You get a receipt from EliteTeQ Softwares Limited for every payment.
What happens if we pay late?
Your chats and contacts are kept safe. Choose a plan and pay in Settings → Billing to carry on where you left off.
Are WhatsApp’s message charges included?
No. Meta charges for template messages you start, at its rate for the customer’s country, and bills your own Meta account. Replies within 24 hours of a customer’s message are free.
Can we add more people or numbers?
Yes. Each extra person is $8 a month on Starter or Growth (Business already has unlimited people), and each extra WhatsApp number is $10 a month on any plan. Yearly, each costs 10 months.
How many WhatsApp numbers can one business have?
Up to 20. That is Meta’s limit per business, not ours: a new business can register 2 WhatsApp numbers, and Meta raises it to 20 once the business is verified with Meta. Growth includes 2 numbers and Business 3; each extra number is $10 a month. Facebook and Instagram inboxes don’t count as numbers.
Do you set it up for us?
You can do it yourself, free. Or pick a one-off setup when you first pay: Basic $50 (we connect WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram and add your team), Standard $100 (plus contacts, pipeline, templates and automatic replies) or Premium $150 (plus a 1-hour team training and a check-in two weeks later).
How much does a WhatsApp CRM cost in Benin?
EliteTeQ Inbox costs the same in Benin as everywhere: Starter is $29 a month (1 WhatsApp number, 3 people), Growth $59 (2 numbers, 6 people) and Business $99 (3 numbers, unlimited people), in US dollars. Paying yearly costs 10 months. Extra people are $8 a month and extra numbers $10. Card, charged in Kenyan shillings at the day’s rate. Meta’s own charges for template messages to Beninese numbers are separate and billed to your Meta account.
Why is EliteTeQ Inbox priced in US dollars in Benin?
The plans are priced in US dollars in every country. Payment is by card on Paystack’s secure page and is charged in Kenyan shillings at the day’s rate, because EliteTeQ is based in Nairobi. Your bank may show a currency conversion.
